How do CRM boards, views, and filters work?

Short answer

The ORCHESTRIS CRM uses boards for workflows, groups for stages, rows for leads or accounts, and custom columns for the data tracked on each item. Open Main table for spreadsheet-style work, select the + beside it to create another board view, and use Filters to narrow the board by its actual column data.

Boards and the board header

  • Boards represent larger workflows, such as leads, customers, onboarding, or platform accounts.
  • The active board name appears above its views. Select the circular i beside the name to read the board description without taking up permanent screen space.
  • Select Create Board above the boards list to add a workflow. Enter the board name, an optional description, and the item-type label used for the first column.

Board tools

Forms, Automations, and Connections live in the CRM menu at the top right. These tools apply to the active board, so open the intended board before selecting one.

Board views

  1. Open the board you want to work with.
  2. Keep Main table selected for the standard editable CRM table.
  3. Select the + beside Main table.
  4. Name the view and choose Dashboard, Kanban, or Calendar.
  5. Choose the board column the view should use, when requested, and create the view.
  • Dashboard shows live board totals and can summarize a selected column.
  • Kanban arranges items into lanes using board groups or a compatible custom column.
  • Calendar plots items using a date or date-time column.

Open View settings to rename, reconfigure, or remove a custom view. Removing a view does not remove board rows or their saved data.

Filter a board

  1. Select Filters above the table.
  2. Choose a custom column, such as Status, Event Date, Owner, or Lead Source.
  3. Select the matching rule and value.
  4. Add more rules when needed. A row must match all active rules to remain visible.
  5. Select Apply Filters. The number beside Filters shows how many rules are active.

Filter controls adapt to the selected column. Status and dropdown columns show their saved options, dates use date-aware comparisons, number columns support numeric comparisons, and text columns support contains and equals rules. Select Clear all to restore the complete board.

Groups

  • Groups usually represent the current stage of work, such as leads, qualified, proposal sent, booked, onboarding, or complete.
  • Groups can be reordered, collapsed, and colored to make scanning easier.

Columns

  • Columns store the data for each row and determine which controls are available in Filters and custom views.
  • Column names can change while the internal system key remains stable, so connected automations continue to recognize that column.
